About AeroMentor
Ground school, taught from the flight deck.
Our instructors are active airline pilots. They teach every subject the way it is used in flight, and the AeroMentor app carries each class into daily practice.
How we teach
We teach the reasoning, not the answer key.
Every DGCA question sits at the end of a line of reasoning: a rule, the reason it exists, and how it is applied. Learn the line and the answer follows, however the question is worded.
That is also how a pilot thinks. The exam is where you prove it; the flight deck is where you keep using it.
The why before the what
Every rule is taught with the reason it exists, so a reworded question does not change the answer.
Drawn, then solved
Numericals start from a figure, then the working, one step at a time, until the method is yours.
Said out loud
You practice radio calls out loud, in standard phraseology, the way they are heard on frequency.
01Our instructors
Taught by active airline pilots.
Real operations, not just theory.
Our instructors fly for a living. They teach navigation, meteorology, the regulations and the radio as they meet them at work: where a rule comes from, how it is applied, and what it looks like on the instruments.
The syllabus is covered in full for the exam. It is never theory alone.
- The operational reason behind every rule
- Standard phraseology, as it is spoken on frequency
- Instruments read the way a pilot scans them
From the flight deck
Rate-one turn
Attitude. About 17° of bank holds a rate-one turn near 100 kt: bank ≈ TAS ÷ 10 + 7.
Heading. Rate one is 3° a second: a full circle in two minutes. Both dials fly the same aircraft.
02Class + app
Learn it live. Drill it daily.
The class teaches it. The app makes it stay.
Understanding a topic in class is half the work. The other half is practice, little and often, until the method comes without thinking. So every AeroMentor student has the app, included with the ground school.
- Worked numericals, step by step, with the figure drawn
- The RT Trainer: say the call, the phone marks every required item
- Focus brings back the questions you got wrong
How the loop runs
- 01
In class
Learn the topic live, with the reasoning and the figures, and ask as you go.
- 02
Between classes
Practice it in the app: questions, worked numericals and spoken radio calls.
- 03
Focus
What you missed twice or more, saved, or have not seen in a while comes back.
- 04
Next class
Bring what is still unclear. It is taken in class, and the loop starts again.
03Small batches
Small batches, personal attention.
Room for every question.
We keep batches small, so an instructor can see where each student stands, take every question, and slow down where a topic needs it.
Take the full programme or enrol subject by subject, in fixed batches.
- Questions taken in class, not parked for later
- The pace set by the batch, not by a fixed script
- Live online, or in person at Kandivali East, Mumbai

Examples
Example questionHow does the 1-in-60 rule turn miles off track into degrees?
The answer, with the reasonTrack error in degrees = distance off track × 60 ÷ distance flown, because 1 nm off track after 60 nm is about 1°. So 5 nm off after 60 nm is 5°.
Example questionWhen is 1013.2 hPa set on the altimeter?
The answer, with the reasonClimbing, at the transition altitude: from there you fly flight levels, all on the same standard setting. Descending, QNH goes back on at the transition level.

Our stance
Pass the exam.
Understand like a pilot.
Tell us where you are in your training. We’ll explain how the classes and the app fit around it.
